We are a lovely little tearoom in the heart of Troutbeck. Our visitors have described us as "Quirky quaint essential"
We have tried to make the tea shop interesting serving wholesome locally sourced value for money food.
You can walk or run Wansfell from the tea shop its only around two miles to the top. You can pop into the tea shop for advice and routes up.
Townend House run by the National Trust is a short walk away.
We serve Loose leaf teas, locally roasted Juicy Gossip Coffee's, Homemade Cakes, Homemade Soups, Sizzling Bacon Ciabatta's, freshly made Sandwiches, Toasties, Homemade Sausage Rolls and Pies and of course Daily Specials. You can eat inside, outside or take away.
We serve Lakes Ice Creams, a variety of cold drinks and our small shop stocks essentials ranging from Sweets, Crisps and Snacks, Tea, Coffee and Sugar too Washing up liquid, Plasters and Paracetamol.
Stopped off for coffee & cake on our Wansfell hike yesterday. Absolute gem of a place in lovely surroundings. Apple crumble with ice cream was superb & hit the spot for two tiring ramblers. Highly recommend the Old Post Office Tea Room!
